PROJECT OVERVIEW
I created this poster design when inspired by World Introvert Day (2nd January). I’m an introvert myself, so I understand the challenges introverts face. Introverts need, and thrive on, alone time but this is often misunderstood - so I aimed to communicate this in the design. I wanted the design to have a retro aesthetic and portray positive energy.
THE POSTER
The sun represents positive energy, happiness and thriving as a single being. Therefore I made the sun the focal point of the design. As introverts are happy when they are alone, I expressed this through the sun’s facial expression.
In order to effectively communicate that introverts thrive alone, I designed the text to have two different styles in order to stand out from each other; whilst also working together in harmony with the whole design.
I intended to give this poster a retro look and feel, so in order to achieve this I used a complimentary retro colour palette; obviously keeping the sun yellow.
