WHAT I DID: UX/UI Mobile App

PROJECT VISION

Late Bakes is a bakery in London that’s open late to serve customers varying from night shift workers to people with late night cravings. They need a food delivery app that’s easy and simple to use, whilst being visually appealing.

CHALLENGES

  • Design a cohesive interface for familiar and unfamiliar users

  • Make the design visually appealing to keep users engaged, whilst keeping to the brand guidelines

  • Stand out against competitors

MEET THE USERS

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

The goals of the competitive analysis were to compare the products offered, the design and the service(s) of each competitors app/website. We found that the key competitors sold themselves on satisfying cravings and being unique and/or follow a specific theme. The key competitors also offered customer incentives, easy app navigation, good use of images and informative text whilst appealing to their target markets through visuals and emotive language. However, I noticed some opportunities for this market; such as offering fast food delivery and the option to send a surprise gift to loved ones.

In order to stand out in this space, it was important for me to consider the specific target market in every aspect of the design, whilst also including elements they would expect, such as reward points.
